Fall 2023 ‘Opera 101’ Series

The VERISMO Composers

For the last year, Dr. Lindsay has undertaken an in-depth study of the non-Puccini composers of Italian opera in the verismo style — heightened realism of everyday life often in a lurid or melodramatic fashion – and he is excited to share with you some of these lesser-known but totally worthy composers and operas from around the turn of the 20th Century!
