The VERISMO Composers
For the last year, Dr. Lindsay has undertaken an in-depth study of the non-Puccini composers of Italian opera in the verismo style — heightened realism of everyday life often in a lurid or melodramatic fashion – and he is excited to share with you some of these lesser-known but totally worthy composers and operas from around the turn of the 20th Century!

These lectures are presented by Dr. Lindsay on the dates above, from 10:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. in the Gail Robinson Room at the Schmidt Vocal Arts Center on Rose Street, across from the Singletary Center on the UK campus (free parking behind the Vocal Art Center)
Each class is $20 to attend. A discount is applied if you pay for all 5 sessions up front for a total cost of $90 (regularly $100).
