Jordan Gilliam

Jordan Gilliam is an attorney with the firm of Stites and Harbison. He joined the firm in 2019 and is a member of the Real Estate and Banking Service Group. His practice area includes Real Estate Development and Finance and General Practice. Jordan grew up in Hampton, Virginia in a family that loved and excelled in music. His father was a singer who performed locally; his grandfather and uncles were members of a band that performed throughout the state. His aunt was a string instrument specialist and orchestra director for students in the Newport News area. While not having followed any of these pursuits, Jordan’s love of music grew through his musical environment and opportunity to attend performances. He attended his first live opera in high school, when a group of talented students performed Phantom of the Opera. “It was an amazing experience. I’ll never forget it,” Jordan says today. A 2016 graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and a J.D. Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, he joined the Stites and Harbison firm after serving as a law clerk with Omni Title and Escro during the summer of 2017. His love of music inspired him to join the Board of OperaLex. “It’s been an amazing experience to learn more about the UK Opera Program and experience my first “Grand Night” performance. It is an honor to be a part of this board and support the UK Opera Program.”
