Derek is the owner and founder of Campbell Law LLC. An Eastern Kentucky native, he grew up in Hazard and maintains strong ties throughout the region, frequently visiting family in Breathitt, Knott, and Fayette counties.
After graduating from Perry County Central High School, Derek earned bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Kentucky and later received his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. Today, he is proud to serve individuals and families throughout Eastern and Central Kentucky through his law practice.
Derek’s Kentucky roots, professional experience, and commitment to serving our communities would make him a valuable addition to OperaLex. I believe he can bring a meaningful perspective to our board as we continue to strengthen OperaLex and expand our support of UK Opera Theatre and its students.
