Bonnie Shearer Mays graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Music with Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts Degrees, She taught music in the Fayette County Public Schools as well as led the Children’s Choir and Single Adult Choir at Calvary Baptist Church. Bonnie loves working with students in the UKOT and is inspired by their compassion and their commitment to being the best singers they can be.
When Bonnie was a graduate student at UK, she sang in the chorus of the production of Madame Butterfly, which was the beginning of her true love of opera. She is very proud of the UKOT program, faculty and students and Dr. McCorvey.
Currently Bonnie is CEO of United Real Estate Louisville and Lexington, KY, with six locations throughout Kentucky. She is a member of UK Women and Philanthrophy. She and her husband Lawrence Williams have 4 children and 8 grandchildren. Bonnie enjoys golf, needlepoint and lunch with friends.
